Pinkbox Donuts - Not bad, but pricey- 라스베이거스(핸더슨) 도넛 맛집
I've been hearing a lot about Pinkbox Doughnuts on the news, and on social media so I went last night to give it a try. As I said in the heading its not bad, but it is a little pricey for donuts. Even then I was pretty happy with my experience here, but when I was about the pay for my donuts, they have one of those registers that kind of makes you give them a 15% or higher tip. Really? For donuts? Yes, you can press a small button on the bottom to opt out of it, but the cashier stands there watching you.
I liked how the inside was setup. Although parking was a bit of a hassle to find, this plaza is full of food places, so that is expected.
They have their donuts priced in a tier system. Pretty much your basic donuts, to your specialty donuts. The specialty donuts were more of your filled, or sprinkled with cereal type of donuts. This was really big in California a few years back.
As you can see, there really isn't a eating are here. They are geared more for pickup and go customers, at least at this location. They have 2 more locations aside from the Henderson one I went to (Summerlin and Las Vegas). So how did the donuts taste? They were not bad. But I don't know if I've ever had a bad tasting donut before. Was it worth the drive, wait, and the 15% tip? Honestly not really. I could have gotten a dozen donuts at Krispy Kreme for the same amount I spent here for 6 donuts. As someone who used to own a restaurant, I actually over tip most of the time, however the 15% tip button that popped up at a donut shop was sort of bleh. So sorry to say Pinkbox, but this is not one of the places I would go out of my way for. If I'm already there, yea maybe I may grab a donut. However when I am craving sweets, I get up and drive to Krispy Kreme, or even Dunkin Donuts........probably not Pinkbox though.
