A shave is a very important part of life for any man.  Not only is it necessary to shave, it becomes a daily routine for men.  Even men who grow beards still need to groom and take care of their facial hair.  Personally I am kind of old school, and I prefer a razor and shaving cream.  It is known to be better for your skin, and a close shave with a razor is refreshing.  I especially love my Acqua di Parma razor, and have been using this for years.

However, I still keep a electric shaver around for the days that I am in a hurry, or feeling kind of lazy.  My Phillips electric shaver has been my shaver for when I travel too for years now.  I have gotten pretty much as much use as I can from this one, so I decided to buy another one.  Luckily, our local Costco has a sale going on for the Braun Series 8 with cleaning station at the moment.  This electric shaver normally costs $169.99, however they are letting them go for only $129.99 at the moment.

Not only does it come with the cleaning station (And cartridge), it also comes with a travel case, small cleaning brush,  and charger too.  This shaver is good for Wet & Dry use and it has SONIC technology which is supposed to have 30,000 cutting actions per minute.  The 3+1 Head, which consists of 3 shaving elements and a skin guard even has 8-directional skin adaptation.  The 5-Minute quick charge feature provides 60 minutes of shaving, and the indicators tell you exactly when you need to charge, clean, and even tells you approximately how many shaves you have left when the battery is low.

The cleaning station / charging station was pretty easy to setup.  I wish this product came with better, more thorough instructions, however it wasn't rocket science to figure out.  From my own research, I found out that the cleaning cartridge should last about 3 months, so it's not that bad.  The included charger can be plugged into this cleaning station, or plugged directly into the shaver.  I'm not sure why this shaver is this way, but the manual says not to use while plugged in.  This is my first time seeing a shaver like this, however I'm sure the manufacture knows best.

Another cool thing about this shaver is the fact that it is Wet/Dry, 100% waterproof.  So even when I don't use the actual cleaning station, I can run this shaver under running water to clean it out somewhat.  There is also a travel lock on the shaver so that it doesn't turn on accidentally when in your travel bag.  But for the big question, how well does this product work?  It definitely lives up to the Braun name.  So far it is very comfortable, and you get a close shave.  If there are any changes in my opinion of this product, I will definitely update my post.  But as of now, I am really happy with this purchase.
