Station Buffets - Great food for low Prices!

Most people only thing of the Las Vegas strip when they come here on vacation.  Once you start coming here often, or become a resident here, you start to see that Las Vegas is not only about the strip.  There are a lot of surrounding areas with a lot of great places around the strip.  Today I want to introduce the Station Casinos to you.  The Station Casinos consist of Sunset Station, Palace Station, Boulder Station, Santa Fe Station, Texas Station, The Fiestas, Red Rock, Green Valley Ranch, and even the Palms too.

My first experience with the Station Casinos was when I went to the Oyster Bar Palace Station.  That day I had the best Oysters in my life.  After that I found out how good the holiday lunches were at Boulder Station, the noodles at Red Rock, the steak and eggs at the Grand Cafe's, however I want to focus on the Buffets today.  

By signing up for a Boarding Pass, which is basically a players card that will work at all the station casinos, you automatically start getting benefits there, even before you have any play or purchases on the card.  The other day we went to the buffet at Sunset Station, and it only came out to $9.72 a person.  Periodically they send Nevada residents deals and buy 1 get 1 free promotional coupons so both of us actually got to eat for $9.72.  Does that mean the food was horrible?  NO!  Not at all!  

Aside from the International Buffet having different foods from different countries, the center has a pretty big salad bar and a carving station.  The Carving station tends to change from time to time, however this time they had Roast Beef, Turkey, Ham, and Sausage.  They have a Wok station where you can pick you choice of meat, vegetables, and the sauce you want on there, that they will stir fry for you on the spot.

The deserts are well stocked, with a person on duty who will hand you what you want, or even give you a scoop of gelato.  They will bring you whatever drink you want, included in the price aside from alcohol.  Most of the time, the buffets are pretty easily accessible, however on special occasions the line can get pretty long.  There can also be different prices for holidays, however there will be more food for that day like Prime Rib or Seafood.
