This posting is going to be short and to the point. On my last trip to L.A, I was carrying my Moncler back pack that I always carry around, and the stitching came loose on one of the straps.
It would have been a disaster if I was working on something, or meeting someone and the stitching came apart all together. However I was able to spot it before it totally came loose.
My sister who was with me at the time tells me she knows a place. At first I was a little hesitant, especially when I can contact Moncler and have them fix it, but my sister was telling me that she takes all of her high end goods here too, so I decided to give it a try.

As soon as you walk in here, you know that you are in the right place for your high end merchandise. You can see Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Prada, Gucci etc all waiting to get picked up as soon as you walk in - which means that 100s of other Angelenos trust this place like my sister. My sister was telling me that this place charges like 3 times more for her blouses than other places, however it is well worth it because of their quality, time management, and service here.
As soon as we showed my bag to the workers here, they told us that my bag requires a special machine for the stitching. I will not mention how much they quoted us because I am pretty sure they gave us a special price because of my sister. Problem was, they said it was going to take about a week.
I only had 1 more day before I head back to Las Vegas again, so needed it done in one day. As this is a family operated business, the person who was helping us took it to his uncle, I think, and the he took it to his dad.....end result, the person who was the final decision maker promised to repair my bag and have it ready for me by the next day.
So the next day we called Occidental Cleaners to make sure my bag was ready before driving over there. When we called Occidental Cleaners, not only was the bag ready, they offered to bring the bag out to the car for us when we arrive, because there was a festival going on and 6th street was closed off. Wow! What great service! Luckily, we were able to go around and we were able to pick up my bag without too much of a hassle. I get home, open it up, and it's good as new! Not only was it cleaned properly (Which is tough for bags like this because of the small pieces of leather here and there), the strap was re-stitched and good as new!
With the way everything is going up in price these days, it is important to have a good reputable place to repair and clean your high end goods. Like this Moncler bag that I carry around daily, was like $600 ish when I bought it a few years ago. I see ones like this going for $940 now on the Moncler website.
Now aside from high end goods, I know exactly where to bring my clothes while I am in L.A. Not only for repairs and/or alterations, but for regular dry cleaning as well. The only downside about this place, they have a parking lot, but it is impossible to find parking in the lot ever since the Starbucks opened in their plaza. But then again, people who live in L.A are kind of used this already, as almost all the plaza's in L.A have this same issue.
As with my other postings, I will state it if otherwise, however we are in no way affiliated with Occidental Cleaners, nor did they give us anything. They actually are not even aware that we wroth this review!
